Jason turned 39 on May 23rd. So-o-o-o-o-o old!
On his birthday Daddy (Jason) and Mommy (BJ) went out for supper (we took Samuel with us). Yahoo! It is great having a built in babysitter. Seeing that Jarom has a lot of younger siblings we pay him when we go on an official date. $1.00 a child per hour. We celebrated Jason's birthday on Sunday. Before church we gave him two of his birthday gifts. A new set of scriptures and case. They were sorly needed. Jason looks a bit sleepy. Got to bed late and Samuel woke up 2 times in the night.
For a cake Jason requested his traditional Strawberry Shortcake.
We didn't want to load the cake up with 39 candles, so he only got 5 to blow out.

What do you get when you put angel food cake, strawberries, whip cream and heavenly hash icecream all together? 6 Messy kids! Okay, Samuel wasn't too messy, he only had his baby food.
For some strange reason, our children do not like strawberries. Avery will eat them plain, and he is the only one. Everyone else will have strawberry jam (the yummy home-made kind we make each year), but not the fresh fruit. Don't know what happened to them all?
Such a serious look. We got Jason 2 of his favorite comic books, "Asterix".
