Lights Out

Yesterday around 4am, the power went off. Do you know where your flashlights are if the power goes off in your home? Almost everyone in our family has a flashlight in their top right dresser drawer. It was fun for the kids to get dressed by flashlight, eat breakfast by our battery powered lantern and watch the candles I had lit flicker. I made their lunches for school by candle light, and was about to light some more when at about 7:25am the power came back on. We are really looking forward to getting a wood stove as a heat source if the power goes off again. It has gone out 3 times since we have been in our new home.
