Another year has gone by and our little Spencer is not little any more. He turned 5 on Feb 6th. Wow how time flies! Spencer was so excited for his birthday party. When he woke up on the party day, he kept asking when his friends were going arrive.
For starters we did a craft and the kids coloured and put stickers (or glued) of different animals or shapes onto coloured paper.
When you have 6 kids the same party games get played a lot. We did the traditional Musical Chairs".
Then played "Hot Potato" with some bean bags.
We always do "Birthday Bingo". Our kids really like it and so do the party guests. Sorry no money/cash involved in this bingo.
Spencer requested "Silly Feet". Auntie Joy and Uncle Eric gave us these one year and they've been a hit ever since. We even bought more silly feet so we'd have enough for company and parties.
You get to decorate your silly feet with icing and candy. Spencer was so happy!
Samuel with his creation. We kept a close eye on everyone's candy intake. One year for Jarom's birthday we had cupcakes to decorate. It was his 9th or 10th party. One boy put so much candy on his cupcake it looked like the "Leaning Tower of Pizazz". I told the boy that, that was a lot of candy to eat but he insisted he could eat it and be fine. I found out later he threw it all up when he got home. Silly Feet or cupcakes are now made with caution. Well at least a little caution.
What's a party without lots of gifts.
Spencer really enjoyed the day and asked a few days after his party when his next birthday was. What a silly boy!
