We cooked "Pilsbury" cresant rolls on the campfire (wrapped around a stick or metal roasting stick) .  Delicious with butter or homemade raspberry jam on top. The girls did their own version (on a huge spoon) with peanut butter and honey inside.   Our first night at camp we made treats with sugar ice-cream cones.  We put marshmellows, mini Rolo's, chocolate bars, strawberries (Mom only) and Skor bits inside and cookded them on the campfire (wrapped in tin foil).

We went for a nature walk.  Well actually it took awhile to get the start of the nature walk.  The tide was in, so we couldn't take the short beach route and had to walk out ot the provincial park, down a few streets and finally made it to the start.  We had our snacks before going on the walk.

Here are the one of many family shots that Ashley took for us.  Hard to get eveyone looking at the same time, not fidgiting and smiling.  No Samuel is not doing a rude gesture.  He is showing everyone his big muscles.

The end of the trail with acess to the beach.  There was a longer trail but we opted not to take it.  The boys had a blast throwing rocks in the water and picking up seaweed on the beach.

Sorry no beach shots.  We forgot to take them.  We found lots of cool sea shells and a sand dollar.  The kids/teenagers and Dad (Mom hung out on the beach) had lots of fun jumping in the ocean waves and building sand castles.  Our camping trip was to be from Tues - Sat but we found out from the park office that a thunderstorm and lots of rain was on its way.  We got a re-fund (I love the maritimes, don't think we'd get t a re-fund in any other province) for our last two nights and told the kids if they all helped pack up fast we'd go to the movies on the way home.  Before getting home we stopped to see "Monsters Univesity".  Great movie!  Our leaky tent and small bring along picnic table didn't survive and saw the garbage bin on the way out of camp.  Of the two days we did have, everyone enjoyed themselves.
